"We made it home safely and in record time. Thanks again for the great weekend. As I talked to Heidi and Lois on the way home, I asked them if their experience was what they expected based on my descriptions and excitement about previous retreats. They replied that the retreat far exceeded their expectations, primarily because they said you can’t adequately capture all the warmth and generosity that you both provide to all the guests. We loved all the little touches: fresh flower vases, flashlights by the bedside, soaps, lotions and shampoo in the bathroom, beautiful table settings – and different for each meal. They couldn’t stop talking about the incredible meals that you created. So I guess I had not exaggerated when I told them that it is the most pampering experience that I do for myself all year. Last but not least – the retreat was their most productive one ever, there were no distractions, no need to go out for a meal, and the meals that we had brought much laughter and tears of joy!" This thank you is some what late, but I did not want another month to go by without telling you both how much fun my daughter Stacy and I had at your retreat last month. The food and your hospitality was wonderful!! I made the pasta dish for our weekend guests, and they loved it. Thank you for making us all feel at home, you thought of every detail. All we had to do was work on projects, eat and enjoy each other's company. I also enjoyed the walk, and the informative info of the area. We definitely want to come back next year. We're all still on cloud nine & marking off the days till next year. My hubby's given me permission to go every 6 months. Guess I've been nicer since I got back! LOL Thanks again for the BEST 2 days of my life. I'm sure that's what heaven's going to be like! Peggy
You cannot imagine the sadness with which I greeted Sunday morning, after sleeping peacefully after Saturday, full of great food, good laughter and wonderful time to sew. I cannot thank you enough for your hospitality. Your home is decorated wonderfully, not over the top, not cluttered, but warm, friendly, inviting and conducive to crafting, socializing and quiet time for meditation. I loved the selection of music, getting to know you both a little, and sharing our craziness. You have inspired me to start creating a what if list, should my sister’s and my fantasy of opening a bed and breakfast someday come to fruition.. What a great example of comfort, warmth and freedom to BE you have created in your home. God bless you both and I pray we see you next year. Tina
Hi Girls, Usually when I’m gone for the weekend it takes me a few days to recover, but after spending the weekend with you at Lake Arrowhead, I needed no recovery time at all.
